📋 Help & Support
Getting Started
1Click + Add Client in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
2Enter the Client Name — this is your contractor or company name.
3Enter a Client Code — a short code you make up (e.g. BLT123). You'll need this to delete the client later.
4Optionally upload a logo for the client card.
5Click Save. The client card appears on your dashboard immediately.
Adding Subcontractors
1Click on any client card to open their detail view.
2Select the NY or NJ tab depending on the sub's state coverage.
3Click + Add Sub in the top-right corner.
4Fill in the sub's name, policy number, insurance company, and expiry date.
5Set the status — Active, Expired, or Cancelled.
6Optionally add a notify email — this email gets alerted when the policy expires.
7Click Save.
Understanding Statuses
ActivePolicy is current. Expiry date is more than 30 days away.
ExpiringPolicy expires within the next 30 days. Action recommended.
ExpiredExpiry date has passed. Policy is no longer valid.
CancelledPolicy was manually marked as cancelled.
No DateNo expiry date was entered. Status cannot be determined.
Deleting Clients & Subs
Deleting a Client — Click the menu on a client card → Delete Client. You must enter the client code to confirm. This deletes the client AND all their subcontractors permanently.
Deleting a Sub — Open the client, click the trash icon next to the sub. Enter the client code to confirm.
⚠️ Deletions cannot be undone. Make sure you have the correct client code before confirming.
Client Codes
Each client has a code you create when adding them (e.g. BLT123).
The code is stored securely and used to verify deletions — preventing accidental data loss.
If you forgot a code, contact your system administrator or check your records when the client was created.
To update a code, click on a client card → Edit Client → change the code → Save.
Search & Sort
Use the search bar on the dashboard to filter clients by name or client code.
Use the Sort dropdown to order clients by Name A–Z, Name Z–A, Most Subs, or By Status (most urgent first).
Tips & Best Practices
Always enter an expiry date for each sub — without it, the status shows as "No Date" and email alerts won't fire.
Add a notify email to each sub so you get automatic alerts when policies expire or are cancelled.
Use consistent client codes — e.g. first 3 letters of name + a number: BOL001, GRA002.
The Expiring Soon stat on a client shows policies expiring within 30 days — check this weekly.
Upload a client logo to make the dashboard easier to scan at a glance.
